"...Whoever put this set together must still have He-Man sheets on their bed, because it's everything a fanatic could hope for. From the packaging to the menus, everything about this release is pitch perfect... The primary features are the two documentaries... Don't mistake this for the standard crappy DVD documentary with only three people going on about why the show is so great. Tons of people from all aspects of the show were wrangled in for these docs... Rating 10 of 10!

"...we drank deeply, we children of the 80's, putting shows like He-Man, GI Joe, Transformers, and their ilk on pop culture pedestals, so much so that a special edition release of something this schlocky feels, not only right, but completely justified, dammit!

EASTER EGGS
Like many DVDs, the He-Man series will feature fun "Easter Eggs" for fans to hunt and find. But for those who want the candy without the hunt, here are the Easter Eggs for the Best of He-Man set, courtesy BCI Eclipse and the fans at www.HeMan.org
Disc One: After pressing Play All from the main menu, advance to track 28 (the moral for the final episode). Watch through until the Filmation logo (approximately 2:30:00) and then press menu. You'll get to see a bizarre Alternate Menu that was developed for the DVDs early in the project!
Disc Three: After pressing Play All from the main menu, a two-second He-Man transition plays. When it does, press either Left, Right, Up or Down once then press Enter.
You'll get to play the He-Man introduction backwards!
For those who have "Titles" features, click on Title 9!
Disc Five: Once the music on the main
menu has started its third loop (takes about 3 minutes), highlight the Setting button and press Right (Play All), Down (Episodes), Down (Settings), Up. A big Skeletor head should appear. Click to play a 1:30 montage of Skeletor's most withering insults!
